From apprentice to manager: With Thomas – new production manager at DS Stålprofil

In an industry characterized by precision and durability, it is the people behind the steel that make the biggest difference. At DS Stålprofil, we are proud to introduce our new production manager, Thomas Madsen, who started as an apprentice in the company 18 years ago.

Thomas began his journey at DS Stålprofil as a 17-year-old apprentice at the factory in Hobro. Over the years, he has worked his way up through the organization and been a central figure in several major production optimization and automation projects.

In his new role as Production Manager, Thomas will be leading one of the company’s most important strategic initiatives: making production even more sustainable. DS Stålprofil has a stated goal of halving CO₂ emissions from production by 2030 – a goal Thomas is ready to take responsibility for.

“We have already invested in more energy-efficient equipment and are working closely with suppliers to reduce our overall carbon footprint. But we are only just getting started,” he says.
